Encyclopedia of Cults and New Religions: Jehovah's Witnesses, Mormonism, Mind Sciences, Baha'i, Zen, Unitarianism - By John Ankerberg and John Weldon. Ankerberg and Weldon have long been authorities on cults and related movements. This book is a compilation of their research. Many other books by Ankerberg and Weldon are also available.

Encyclopedic Dictionary of Cults, Sects, and World Religions - By George Mather and Larry A. Nichols. A good resource for learning the basic teachings and history of a wide-variety of groups. Kindle edition.

Encyclopedia of New Age Beliefs - By John Ankerberg and John Weldon. This comprehensive, indexed volume includes short, one-page listings of pertinent facts about a particular movement, its founder, how it claims to work, scientific evaluations done, and its potential dangers.
