Okay, but better options available

This is an advanced Greek grammar. It is coded to Zerwick’s A Grammatical Analysis of the Greek New Testament. The two together make for a nice set.

This is definitely an advanced grammar. Those new to Greek would find it confusing, and even those advanced in Greek might struggle with it as the writing style is difficult. But that is possibly due to it being translated from the Latin.

But it is a thorough grammar, covering all aspect of Greek grammar. And the Greek student can definitely find much of value in this work. However, I personally much prefer Dana and Mantey’s A Manual Grammar of the Greek New Testament. It is much easier to follow and understand. It was to it that I mainly turned as I was working on my Analytical-Literal Translation of the New Testament (ALT)” and on the summary of Greek grammar found in my Companion Volume to the ALT. I only rarely referred to either of Zerwick’s books.

That said, if you want just one grammar, I would suggest Dana and Mantey. But if you’re one to gather as many resources as possible, then Zerwick’s two volumes would be good to have on hand.
